JUST ASKING: Is Michael Jordan itching to play again?

Everytime we look Michael Jordan is getting closer to the NBA court.

MJ- who normally watches games from a suite- sat on the Bobcats bench Tuesday night to watch his team beat the free-falling Celtics 114-106 in OT. Could it be his Airness is itching to play again?

So we ask, if MJ were to lace them up again, how would he fare? Could Jordan, who will turn 46-years-old in February, still average double digits? 20 ppg?

BONUS QUESTION: If Jordan played in UH today, would he be the best player in the Top-Flight Division even at his advanced age?

average 20 in the NBA still, I doubt it unless he just jacked. but he would for sure be the best player in Top Flight, easily

There is no way Jordan would be a better Top-Flight player than yourself, Luke Witt, Daniel Artest, Steven Williams, Jason Breedlove and others at his age right now...

Where is James Veres when we need his perspective?

His jump shot still looks easy, and until that changes he would dominate any pick-up game that he ever played in. The NBA just has to many young athletes that would make him work to hard and he wouldnt be able to recover physically fast enough. If you were asking him to give you one big game a month he might be able to.

UH Insiders you gotta ease up on the amount of whisky in your coffee in the morning. MJ would be the best player in TF.

We're just suprised the Timberpuppies or the Riddlers haven't offered him a contract yet. After all, he would get the veteran's minimum! ;)

Mr. Ball- Please keep our drinking problem out of the discussion...

And according to the recreational rules right now...Jordan could play in the Rec league!? Obviously, a veteran's minimum at the age of 40 is not the correct cut-off. Numerous players made a impact in the NBA after 40 - if I remember correctly, Robert Parish played pretty damn well until 44 or 45.

When Mr. Jordan and other 6-time NBA champions start signing up for the Rec Division using the Veteran's Minimum rule, we will consider changing the age.

The only reason I bring it up is because rumor has it that Cliff Morgan will be playing in the Rec league...I'm by no means comparing him to Jordan; however, he did play professional basketball for over 10 years - just doesn't necessarily seem like the "right" fit for the rec league
