The league announced Monday afternoon that the TimberKings'
Denver TenBroek and the Imagineering Sixers'
Marcus Marshall (top photo) have won the most coveted award in Ultimate Hoops- the league's Most Valuable Player Award.
And for both TenBroek and Marshall the award was twice as nice as both won the MVP award
for the second consecutive season.
TenBroek (bottom photo) led the TimberKings to the Top-Flight Division Championship for Fall Season, averaging 26.5 ppg, 8.3 rpg and 3.6 ast.
He had a season-high 38 points against the Chiefs on November 11th.
TenBroek ranked #20 on
UH's Most Impactful of All-Time list in April 2008 but his ranking is sure to rise when/if the list is ever updated after winning two championships and two MVPs in 2008.
The second-season player Marshall averaged a Recreational Division high 35.0 ppg to go with 6.2 rpg and 5.2 ast per game while leading the Sixers to a 7-1 regular season record. Marshall also set the
Recreational Division single-game scoring record with
54 points against the Cadets on Oct. 29th. Marshall is arguably the brightest star to enter the Recreational Division in 2008, with his #14 Imagineering Sixers jersey ranking 2nd in total UH merchandising sales.
Can TenBroek and Marshall win UH's first-ever
National MVP Award for Winter Season 2009? Or will someone in Indianapolis, Phoenix, Kansas City or St. Louis take home the award? Only time will tell!
Buckle up....WINTER SEASON IS HERE!

Congrats fellas, it's always a treat watching you play.
