From Commissioner Paul Kruse: Important Details Regarding Fall League

UH Players & Fans-

Having just concluded our league executive meetings today, I wanted to make you aware of a few changes and new offerings regarding the UH league starting with the Fall 2008 season. The following changes were made in preparation for our national expansion starting in Winter Season 2009.

Changes include:

1- The Men's Competitive Division will merge with the Top-Flight Division starting Fall Season

Top Flight and Competitive Division Playoff Ineligibles

The following players are ineligible for playoff participation as they have not participated in the required four (4) regular season games and have not filed or been granted an injury exception:

Competitive Division:

Recreational Division Playoff Ineligibles

The following players are ineligible for the playoffs as they have not competed in the required four (4) regular season games and have not filed for an injury exception.

The deadline for filing for an injury exception is 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 11th. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Recreational Division Playoff Scenarios

Confused about the Recreational Division Playoff scenarios? Fear not, we have broken it down for you. Going into our final week of the season, the following ten teams have clinched a playoff berth:

Timberpuppies, Madmen, Spurs, Sonics, Clippers, Bulls, Nuggets, Pistons, Husky Nation and the Tornadoes

and the following two teams have been eliminated:

No new players reminder...

As we hit the mid-point of the season, I want to offer a quick reminder:

After a team has played five (5) regular season games, they may not add any new players to their roster. In other words, if a player has not participated with a team in the first five games, they are not eligible to participate all season. Also, please remember that players must be present at a minimum of four (4) regular season games to be playoff eligible, unless an injury exception has been granted. If you

So I know you are all busy with the expansion, but I am wondering when you will have career stats up. I asked you over two months ago and you said it was on the To-Do List.

Also I realize there is not enough man power to write recaps of each game, even though that was one of the best features of the league. Instead, as a sort of compromise, can we at least bring back the photo captions? That was how you got to know who was who in the league. Now we don't even know which team is which, let alone which player is which from the pictures. Most people don't even have a profile picture.

Another possible compromise would be to post multiple pictures from each game. To be honest, it really feels like we are getting a lot less product for a lot more money these days. Please advise me and the rest of the league on any changes you have planned.
